Cardiff - The Welsh Assembly here in Cardiff have voted unanimously to outlaw sheep jokes.
Welsh people and sheep combined with various humurous interpretations have long been a staple of amateur comedians, particularly ones in factories or offices, and the Welsh have now officially taken umbrage.
'We're calling time on this nonsense,' said Assemblyman Owen Jones. 'We're just not prepared to take it any more so we've criminalised it.'
Penalties for making crap jokes about Welsh people and sheep-shagging will range from on the spot fines to life imprisonment, and in extreme cases even the death penalty may be considered.
'I don't think we'd ever impose the death penalty,' opined Assemblyman Dai Jones. 'It's just there as a deterrent really. All we want is for the world to focus on the positive aspects of Wales, like how it's such a beautiful country, how the Welsh are good at digging out coal, singing in choirs, playing rugby, boxin' and speaking Welsh.
'And saying Is'nit,' added Assemblyman Rodri O'Jones.
More as we get it.
