The Queen has handed in her resignation as the fall-out from the Ross-Brand affair continues to escalate.
In a statement Her Majesty said 'One has not been amused by the recent broadcasting of the BBC. As I am the one who is responsible for forming the government, who in turn is responsible for the BBC, the buck has to stop with me."
She will not be succeeded by Prince Charles as many people thought or the two Princes next in line for the job as they have all attended previews of films that had been featured on Film 2008.
The favourite for the job is currently a distant relative in a remote part of the Australian outback where they are unable to pick up BBC broadcasts.
