It's the headline of nightmares, but eerily this article remains unquestionably real.
Tom Mannors from Bristol, 30, aims to marry his long term partner 'Charlie' next Thursday. Not that strange in itself. The twist to this romantic tale is that Charlie is actually a 2 year old white goose. The couple have been together since Tom laid eyes on the goose on a country walk a year ago.
"There I was walking along without a care in the world, when this wonderful and beautiful creature waddled out in front of me on the path" Tom explains. "I knew then and there I had to have him!"
"We all know that if you give geese a little bread and a quick rub, they'll do anything for you......and I MEAN ANYTHING! but somehow when I met Charlie things seemed different. I looked into his black eyes and all I could feel was safety, warmth, and most of all, love. I knew right away that Charlie was the one for me."
When approached on the subject of legality of marriage Tom began to shout. "Right!!! I get it!!! A man can't love a goose yeah? Well that's just rubbish. I know when the light goes out at night and I feel Charlie's goosey breath on my neck, it's real! All of this is real!!"
Tom Is due to marry Charlie in Bristol Park, where he is expected to be arrested for past offenses committed on animals; one of which involves throwing an otter into a moving Toyota for allegedly 'cheating on him'.
