A London Bridal Shop, A Whiter Shade of Veil, has left dozens of brides- to- be without a stitch to wear on their wedding day. Shop proprietor Bridie McMarriage told the spoof society columnist, Blab Ermouth that she and her husband, a London Bobby had invested all of their savings with a lovely rustic American couple Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac:
"When the poor dears went broke this week the bridal shop went under. And I don't know who I feel worse about. Bankrupt Fannie and Freddie, the poor naked brides or me and my man who will soon be on the street without a skein of lace between us!?"
When the protesting brides heard Bridie's heart rending interview they got an idea. Naked brides!? Why not!? And so across the UK this Saturday, hundreds of brides will walk down the aisle in their birthday suits on their wedding days. Protest organizer and soon to be bride, Weshal Ovacum detailed the variety of causes that the naked brides will be representing:
"We've got everything from global warming, save the seals, the whales and the Eighth Avenue Hoes to Showin' my bush till Bush goes into hiding!"
