After a flurry of secret government documents and databases holding the personal details of many UK residents conveniently going missing on trains and in the post, TheSpoof.com now brings you the latest piece of confidential government info to go astray.
It is a copy of plans to hold a referendum on joining the EU, along with a copy of the last Labour manifesto and a copy of the EU constitution with the word constitution crossed out in blue crayon and replaced with the word treaty.
A man, looking suspiciously like a Labour back bencher, delivered the large envelope containing the documents to our offices this morning at nine o'clock on the dot, saying something about the train actually being on time for once.
He left it with Debora (our receptionist) and then vacated the building as fast as he could.
Debora read it with interest and then passed it to us, once we arrived with our bacon butties and tea in Styrofoam cups from the local greasy spoon.
The most impressive part of it was the sections that were highlighted in the documents, with a yellow highlighter. These included sections of the last Labour manifesto about promising a referendum on joining the EU constitution. These were accompanied with notes about not being able to con the British public into believing that it was for their own good and all about progress n' that.
It then went on to moan about the truth starting to come out about it being all about globalism and handing power over to greedy internationalists and corporations. This was then accompanied by the crayon, crossing out the word constitution and replacing it with treaty, on the front of the EU constitution document. This had a footnote saying, 'If we can't con them into giving up their independence, we'll just force it off them, whether they like it or not!'
