image for Failed Spoof Writers Flood London Election
London City Hall was modelled on Ken's wife's bosom

TheSpoof.com denies flooding the London Mayoral Election with failed writer candidates.

While admitting that all leading candidates are failed writers at TheSpoof.com, TheSpoof.com denies having a hand in any alleged collusion.

In an official press release Spoof officials state "We hold the electoral process of our elected officials in the same high regards we hold all subjects of public interest."

While it is statistically possible that any of the three front runners may become Mayor, Spoof officials familiar with the work of the candidates are not so sure of the outcome. No candidate is seen as a clear winner. All three are predicted to lose the election.

Candidates were quick to respond.

Labour's mayoral incumbent Ken Livingstone, a leftist known for known for hobnobbing with Venezuela's Hugo Chavez, has purchased a set of outsized scissors which he openly boasts to use for ribbon-cutting should he be re-elected.

Livingstone is hoping to fend off the challenge of Conservative Boris Johnson, a privileged, gaffe-prone ex-journalist with a mop of blonde hair. Mr. Johnson believes his skill at posing for the camera will put him over the top.

The third candidate, Liberal Democrat Brian Paddick, is an openly gay former police officer. Paddick says he is skilled at delegation, given advance notice he can spell the word at one go.
