image for Massive Storms Hit U.K- Huge Loss of Life and Property

A massive storm front swept across Britain last night causing a deluge of rain as 100 mile per hour winds ripped across cities the length and breadth of the country. Floods swept away up to 60 people in Wales alone, where the epicentre of the storm was recorded.

Fortunately the Torchwood team, who operate mainly in Wales were on top of the situation and managed to reverse time using an alien device, saving the U.K from the worst of the damage.

Captain Jack Harkness of the Torchwood team said today,"Luckily we spotted an alien device being dug up on Timeteam last week. They thought it was a piece of Roman roof tile, but we recognised it immediately as a Time Refracting Quantum Energiser from episode 4. Tony Robinson was only too happy to let us have it. We didn't even have to blank his mind."

Once the team had activated the device time started reversing and the country was saved once again, except Dorset, which was today under 6ft of water. When asked why Dorset had not been spared Captain Jack commented that he had been unaware of the existence of Dorset as his team tended to concentrate on Wales.

Tony Robinson, who was in Dorset filming a dig for Timeteam, was unavailable for comment today and is presumed missing.
