The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr.Rowan Williams, has decided to go YouTube to announce his new year message. The message was one of green issues.

No, not green with envy because the Queen did it first, no, not green as in money, as the Yanks would say and definitely, not green as in Kermit fell into a blender but yes, green about the environment.

He said: "In a society where we think of so many things as disposable…do we end up tempted to think of people and relationships as disposable?"

When asked whether the fact, the Queen being the first on YouTube, his was a case of "monkey see, monkey do," he blurted. "As you are well aware, my good man, I do not espouse Darwinism, so your premise is inherently flawed from the start and, unfortunately, my approach to the environment may likewise be flawed as you appear to be the first one who is disposable.

"Good day and Happy New Year."
