London - (Depraved Mess): It's looking more like a farcical episode of Royal Trash in the Attic at London auctioneers Christies UK today as their chairman of less than one year, Lord Linley, emerges as the seedy 'minor royal' in the coke, sex and videotape fiasco that's gripping the headilines.
Linley, 45, was named this week in a blackmail case that Buckingham Palace has gagged from press screwtiny.
Two men were arrested in September after touting a video of Linley fellating a royal flunkey and snorting a sackful of Bolivian oral resuscitation powders.
The £50,000 blackmail attempt soon bombed but not before dragging the dimwotted Christie's chairman into the mud.
Christies has only recently managed to drag its sorry arse from a 2000 price-fixing scandal where they grassed up fellow-scammers Sothebys Auctioneers into admitting a collusion that ripped off the public.
Sothebys' top shareholder at the time A Alfred Taubman and his Chief Operations officer Dede Brooks received jail sentences for the fraud after Christie's plea-bargain with the FBI.
UK tabloid reports have hinted today that Linley's luckless sex and drugs sting may be part of a Sotheby's revenge for the price-fising fiasco.
