image for Cabinet in £80 whip-round for Blair legal expenses
He'll need the handoput when his assets are frozen and his Legal Aid pegged

London - (Ass Mess): A legal defence fund in the cash-for-peerages scam has been set up for UK Prime Monster Tony Blair and his cohort Deputy PM John Prescott with Cabinet Ministers are being asked to contribute £80 each in a "whip-round".

Cabinet Secretary Sir Gus O'Donnell is organising the collection and now has the delicate task of choosing an appropriate blind trust manager who will hold the money should Blair find himself in the obvious and inevitable position of having all his assets frozen and being forced to find a Legal Aid shyster lawyer.

The decision to hold a collection was taken at a Cabinet meeting weeks ago after credible intelligence leaks confirmed Blair and Prescott would be relying on state handouts to defend themselves in court on a raft of charges including treason.

The Cabinet office today refused to be drawn on how much money has been collected so far: "We would not want to spoil the surprise," a spourse said.
