Shock artist Tracy Emin updates Rodin's 'Thinker'

Shock artist Tracy Emin, stunned the art world today when she revealed her latest entry for the Turner Prize. Emin, 42, unveiled the piece at her latest exhibition in the Tate modern.

"It's a reworking of one done by this 'ere geezer called Rodent," she said to bemused critics, "'E done it wrong the first time, so I've fixed it 'an that. I always have a fink when I'm 'aving a crap, so I 'fought I'd do 'is finker 'aving a crap and a fink.....'an I 'ad some yellow paint left over so I done 'im as an banannana""

Miss Emin is no stranger to controversy and her previous pieces of...ahem...art have included an unmade bed filled with crap and a shoe.

"'Oim a serious artist wiv a message," she continued, "Oim like that bloke what done the Moaning Liza and that uver fella what done the ceiling in the sixteenf chapel."

The competition however is stiff this year and many think that new artist Bob Wood stands a good chance with his post modern piece 'Turd on a piece of string'.

"It is, at first glance, a turd on a piece of string," said Bob knowledgeably, "But it represents the eternal struggle of the soul and the dichotomy and juxtaposition of string and a turd........or something."
