Kiddie's favourite, Bob the Builder, has been named and shamed by an irate householder in Oxfordshire.
Fuming, Benson Hedges, told us:
"Christmas day right? We develop a leak coming through the kitchen ceiling right above the cooker and we've go 10 coming for lunch. So I phone around and find this guy Bob who's prepared to come out.
"He shows up, I show him the problem and ask if he can fix it? Yes I can he says and starts to get on with it.
"But by the time he's finished, the whole fucking house is a pile of rubble and there's still a leak! We've had to book into the local Harvester for dinner! I tried to get him after he scarpered but his mobile was switched off! If I find him I'll swing for him and ram that bloody yellow hat down his throat."
This is not the first time a children's favourite has been in the news for the wrong reason. Who can forget the time Postman Pat did a six stretch in the Scrubs for rifling through mailbags at Christmas looking for money and CD's. Or The Balamory drugs bust of 2005.
A spokesman for the BBC commented:
"We will be looking at our vetting processes in the future to try and ensure wrong 'uns like Bob don't slip through the net again. We owe it to the kids"
