A physics professor, Alister Darwin, whose time machine allowed him to travel into the future, is now on a journey with his wife Aesa and his 7-year-old son David, to make contact with the Lumen, a future species of man that lives underground. Darwin wants to know of man kinds development over the centuries.

The journey to reach the entrance of the underground city of the Lumen has taken three years. There are no beastly Morlocks or Elois in this desolate area. They're isolated to green, watery terrain where they can attain food, sometimes cannibalising each other during wars.

After entering a composite structure, they descended several steep steps to the entrance of a very narrow tunnel that extends for miles in complete darkness. David came prepared with luminous devices which he attained from the abandoned cities. They use the bright lights to aide their odyssey.

When they reach the end of the tunnel, they encounter a large female humanoid android with super powers capable of destroying an army of Morlocks and Elois. Darwin, terrified beyond belief, is surprised to be greeted by the spectacular creature.

"Hello Alister, dear friend, we have been waiting so many centuries for your arrival, please enter the city, our leader Crius is overjoyed that you are finally here, Cronus will guide you to him," says the female Guardian.

A great door opens behind her and as the family enters, an immense robot comes forward saying, "Follow me, you will be taken to see Crius."

Cronus is the diligent helper and protector of the Lumen compound and it's inhabitants. He cleans, organizes, and repairs the compound which functions on multi-space physics, the exterior is the size of three football fields, but the interior is the size of Russia, able to hold millions of individuals.

The Lumen don't have human female mates anymore because they're inefficient, instead they are a society of humanoid males who share a symbiotic relationship with efficient android females who give birth to their male children.

Cronus takes them though a great hall that leads to a large chamber where Darwin sees Crius sitting on a beautiful throne. Upon seeing him Crius comes running to greet Alister, saying "Welcome my friend, we have much to talk about."

"How do you know me? It feels, I was always here," questioned Alister.

"I used a time viewer to see our lives, so many times, over these few centuries that I've become emotionally attached to this moment in time," says Crius.

The entire population of Lumen departed centuries ago on a long journey towards eternity after transforming themselves into everlasting energy with the use of a machine. Crius, the door Guardian and Cronus remained for centuries awaiting Alister.

After dinner, Alister becomes curious over the Morlocks, Elois, and the struggle's of mankind. Crius analyzed earth's history using the time viewer.

"The Morlock and Elois are descendants of ancient human's with low IQ's and others with learning disabilities. The Lumen are descendants of brilliant educated people molded by evolution through centuries of university studys," says Crius.

A simplistic physics design repeated by time which has now come to its fruition. The earth has only a few million years before it's sun becomes a Super Nova.

"Alister, we want you and your family to take that majestic journey with us, we know your answer will be yes, that's why we waited dear friend," says Crius.

Alister tells Crius that he's honored to be accepted by them and he and his family will join them on that journey.

Crius, Cronus, David, Aesa, the door Guardian, and Alister enter the machine and then they're released as living enery.

Alister is the last one to get a view from space of the earth before entering a wormhole and traveling through space. The Lumen compound then implodes into molecular oblivion removing all traces of their existence.
