image for Sat Nav Glitch Sends Tourists To Isle Of Wight Prison Visitor Centre
Clean rooms, sea views available

Tea, coffee and sandwich sales have rocketed at H.M.P. Isle of Wight Visitor Centre due to a Sat Nav mix up.

A recent initiative by the Isle of Wight Tourist Institute, hoping to sell the Island as a holiday destination and not just an amalgamation of prisons and Residential Homes has backfired as hundreds of would be holidaymakers have been mistakenly directed to the Class B prison facility.

The tourists have reported being searched for files in cakes, drugs and alcohol and a minority have reported being locked up with convicts.

The Isle of Wight has a plethora of nice tea rooms and retirement bungalows.

Buckets and spades are available at souvenir shops as well as postcards and chocolates. Flowers are conveniently sold to take to serving prisoners.

Make Auntie Jean's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
