Thus the road would be open for the Government to end the overcrowding of the House of Lords by having sufficient representation from Britain to Europe to come from the Lords. The Lib Dems have agreed to the plan thus ensuring the legislation will become law.
George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer, has pointed out that the money saved by sending the lords & Ladies who are extra to requirements in the House of Lords, will be enough to reduce income tax to 40% for the wealthiest people in Britain.
