image for Tories To Solve Ukip problem
House of Lords

Our political correspondent, Joe Whippet, has discovered the Tory answer to Ukip.

In a logical extension of the plan to make any strikes illegal, that are not backed by at least 50% of Union members the next step is to make any elections that are not based on at least 50% of the electorate invalid.

This legislation would be retrospective thus ending the claims of anyone who claims to be an M.E.P because of the recent election to take a seat in the European Parliament. Thus the road would be open for the Government to end the overcrowding of the House of Lords by having sufficient representation from Britain to Europe to come from the Lords. The Lib Dems have agreed to the plan thus ensuring the legislation will become law.

George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer, has pointed out that the money saved by sending the lords & Ladies who are extra to requirements in the House of Lords, will be enough to reduce income tax to 40% for the wealthiest people in Britain.

Make j.w.'s day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
