Police Code of Conduct is unequivocal

London - (Associated Mess): Officers claiming compromised professional ethics standards and religious discrimination have asked to be excused guarding Prime Monster Tony Blair because they fear he has links to extremists.

The blow comes after Blair was seen talking to known terrorists masquerading as bona fide members of the House of Mountbatten following the latest damp squib royal freebie to Pakistan.

Several officers have complained that the PM is a major threat to national security and has compromised the integrity of the Diplomatic Protection Group SO16.

Downing Street sources have denied that No 10 is studying plans to out-source the PM's security arrangements to minder agencies such as the fabled Group4.

But the Met's elite SO16 is adamant that the police service's Code of Conduct prohibits any association with criminals and their accomplices, especially following the recent religious considerations upgrade of the Inhuman Rights Act.
