Is this what he was meant?

Whitehall, London - (Associated Mess): UK reporters were left baffled at the monthly Downing Street press conference yesterday when Prime Monster Tony Blair apologised for missing out the Daily Fascist's political editor from his briefs with a "I meant to take you darling" poser.

No 10 aides were at a total loss to explain whether the PM was merely in a romantic mood and was apologising for failing to give the hackette a de rigeur a grinding on the Downing Street carpet or whether the slip of the tongue was aimed at one of the more stalwart chaps from the Whitehall press corpse posse.

Some officials later blamed the recent strain of having had his e-mails busted by cops probing the bungs-for-peerages scam for the faux mots and refuted any suggestion that the PM might be playing an offside game behind wife Cherie's ample back.

Make queen mudder's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
