"You're doing it wrong" expert Michael Gove is to give young people a sense of patriotism and a correct outlook on WW1 history in a new remake of the final trench "over the top" episode of Black Adder. The episode will charter the life of ordinary people from a village in Kensington, London from attending Eaten public school to jumping out of a mud filled trench and immediately getting cut in half by vicious German machine gun fire.
Mr. Gove will play a chinless wonder General who orders 35,000 British troops per month to run at enemy cannons, mines and machine guns with an old fashioned rifle. "These 18 year olds want to be blown to pieces by enemies they can't see, to regain 10 yards of a muddy field, unlike the left wing cowardly soldiers I think were featured in the Black Adder episode, who weren't too keen to stand among the body parts and entrails of their friends and run at huge high explosive shells or lines of machine guns.
These people will be seen to joyfully run at the machine guns and enemy canon fire. I will play the part of a General who is sitting in an office 1000 miles away sending requests for more human beings to be shot for a pointless battle in the war. It will be no harder than my normal pastime of slagging teachers off."
