The town of Bradford on Avon has a football club, which is currently struggling in the Tolpuddle League. It is known to its supporters as The Badgers.
Those with an interest in the Tolpuddle League haver noticed for some time that Bradford on Avon have a very good home record and a fairly disastrous away record. Visiting teams have always feared coming to Bradford because they know about the amazing home record of their rivals.
Then a keen supporter of visiting team the Wiltshire Wizards took a video of a game and noticed something very odd when he looked at his film.
The goalposts were moving just when a shot from the Wizards was approaching goal! A young lad was seen leaning on a goalpost just at a time when the ball was about to enter the goal. As a result the shot hit the woodwork and was cleared.
Further analysis established that the Badger's goalposts were moving every time a shot from their opponents approached their goal.
The video, now to be seen on U Tube, confirms the Badger's goalposts, which are not very securely set in the soil, are moving regularly. The son of the Badgers goalkeeper Ron Robson, 10 year old Badger loving Jim told Spoof that he moves from end to end encouraging his Dad.
