Isle of Dogs - The Bishop of Barking says the House of Windsor has set a bad snouts-in-the trough example that makes reviled benefit scroungers the Philpotts look like Mother Theresa by comparison.
Speaking to reporters at lunchtime today Bishop Rex Ruttles claimed the Queen's work-shy brats had milked the royal handouts system of hundreds of millions of pounds instead of getting off their sinecure-cushioned arses and finding a job.
His comments come amid a UK red top brouhaha about the taxpayer-funded £80,000 per annum lifestyle of convicted killer Mick Philpott and his wife Mairead.
The father of 17 children had bankrolled a slothful existence via the welfare state and taken part in lowlife proletariat TV shows like 'Trash In The Attic' [WTF? - 'Ed'] extolling the virtues of the entitlement generation.
At his Derby trial this week character witnesses had claimed that Philipott's 'modest' £80,000 per annum benefits haul compared rather favorably with, for instance, Prince Edward's reported £250,000 bung that he's been getting from Queen Elizabeth since 2002.
The handout pays for him and his gargoyle wife Sophie Rhys-Jones to live the Life of Rielly at Buckingham Palace, farrowing a brood of all-expenses paid children who also leech off the Civil List like there's no tomorrow.
"The House of Windsor set Mick Philpott a bad example," Bishop Ruttles' website warned today, "something the judge should have taken to account in mitigation when comparing one lot of benefit scroungers with another."
His comments have been largely ignored at the Palace where an extra £6m per annum has just been added to the royal trough.
