David Cameron has suspended civil servants in the Department of Energy for misleading him about energy.
After talking to civil servants Cameron thought he was told that the Government was going to put forward legislation to force energy companies to make all their customers get the lowest tariff for their charges.
A nameless and faceless civil servant pleaded that the Prime Minister had made his own mistake by claiming in the House of Commons that the Government would be introducing legislation, but his case was dismissed as 'a ridiculous evasion of resonsibility'.
'It is just like those civil servants who messed up over the railway franchises' explained Cameron to his unhappy back benchers 'they just can't take responsibility for their own mistakes!'
Plans are well advanced for the civil service to dutifully accept responsibility for any errors that occur in Government.
