Claims that former Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi rejected a sex orgy have been called into question by his closest friends and acquaintances. They think it is 'highly unlikely' that the man they know as the self-proclaimed 'Italian Sealion' would turn down any opportunity to indulge in 'burlesque games' or 'elegant dinners' as sexual orgies were known in Italy in the early 2010s.

The issue has been raised because Mr Berlusconi has been speaking in court in Milan about parties which took place while he was in office.

One observer at the trial has spoken about Mr Berlusconi having to defend his reputation. "The people of Italy - we loved him. We knew what he was like and we winked and laughed and looked the other way. Then when suddenly we are all poor the people all turn testicle on him and they stab him in the back. 'You and all Brutus' as Shakespeare said. Now he is told he must explain his behavior."

Another agreed: "The people really did love him while he was dealing with their problems. He single-handedly ridded the country of the vermin in the system. But then when the problem had been eradicated and there was no longer a threat, they refused to support him. He got his revenge, though. He enticed a number of young people away from their parents; lured them off to his lair so he could - oh sorry, did you say Berlusconi? I thought you asked about the Pied-piper of Hamelin."

Make Roy Turse's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
