Park Lane, London: Controversy has raged since the announcement from the Metropolitan Police with regards to whether an explosion occurred at either Croydon or Park Lane Police Stations.
What is known is that fire crews from Woodside, Croydon, Norbury, Addington, Tooting, Wallington and Brixton fire stations attended the scene.
Interestingly, the Metroplotan Police Force have been unable to specify what building work was taking place involving contractors on site. Speculation has been rife that they have unearthed a World War 2 Nazi bomb.
Four people have allegedly received injuries, one is believed to be in a serious condition, another is believed to be in a stable condition and two others, are believed to have suffered from smoke inhalation.
This incident is allegedly not believed to be terrorist- related at this early stage, when both London Fire Brigade and the ambulance service were at the scene.
It has come to our notice, that the Police Canteen's bangers became 'unstable' during a breakfast fry up. Thankfully only one cooker has been immobilised, two other cookers are still operational.
A Police spokesman said the borough remains "fully operational" for police, adding: "There has not been any disruption to service."
Although the force was unable to specify what building work was taking place involving the contractors, the cook has been blamed!
