The religion "Jediism" which was spawned from the popular movie franchise Star Wars is set to
get its own holy place in Stoke on Trent.

This ground breaking news for the religion comes after a petition was started by local "Jedis" Barry and Susan Lard, the petition managed to get over 30 thousand signatures and construction of the church of Jeddissm will begin summer 2012 and will be finished for Christmas 2012.

Alongside the church, the religion are hoping to cement their own religious holidays throughout 2013 and beyond. Jedissm holidays include "bring your lightsaber to work day", "Luke Skywalker Day", "Vaderoween" and "May the 4th be with you".

So if you are atheist or just plain lazy, look towards "Jeddism" the force might be for you.

Make Ali Pritchard's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)
