Big Ben Runs Out of Time

In an unfortunate episode central London experienced the horror of Big Ben sliding into the Thames. Happily no was injured in the catastrophe, although several tourists have been treated by paramedics for shock.

A Japanese man, coincidentally taking photos at the time, caught the demise of Big Ben in dramatic pictures which are being sent around the world. He said his holiday for him and his family had been paid for from the proceeds of the Ben Drama.

Parliament had to be moved from the debating chamber and has been temporarily housed in the Stock Exchange, where several MPs already have a second home.

An inquiry into the sudden Ben collapse has been ordered but our resident expert in leaning buildings Jim Bent declared that experts had been 'taking the pisa too long over Big Ben' and were now 'showering us all with their weak trickle of explanation'.

'The plain truth' declared Bent 'is that we knew for years what was about to happen but it was a State secret so no one could say a word.

I hope now someone will let us warn the public of BLANK IN COMMUNICATION
