Failing MP's Headed for the Classroom

Plans are advanced in the proposed legislation to sack failing MPs who do not meet the expectations of constituents.

'Waiting for an election is not good enough' declared education secretary Michael Glove 'it is time we sorted out the useless MPs between elections so that the future of Britain is being protected.'

The MPs trade union protested at the expected move. Chief spokesperson Virginia Whatshername angrily dismissed the proposal as 'half baked'. She considered that MPs were having a hard enough time anyway sitting listening to boring speeches and passing constituents letters to their filing cabinets in the corner of their rooms. 'I have had to replace my filing cabinet several times' she complained 'I think this is a waste of paper. I only hope the senseless ramblings we get will be recycled as useful lavatory paper.'

Glove has put his plans to the Cabinet and he agreed immediately. 'David is all for it' explained Glove 'he wants to get rid of all those troublesome eurosceptics.'

So our democracy moves gradually on and failed MPs are on the way to becoming teachers.
