An incredible 70% supported the no vote campaign in the bye election at Feltham & Heston. A swing of this sort on a national scale would result in No Government if legislation proposed by Tory backbencher Anthony Union is passed.
This legislation would ensure that in any vote a winner would have to have the majority of votes in the constituency. On this basis No Government would have won in Feltham & Heston and a nationwide result of a similar sort would usher in the No Government era.
Jim Anonymous, speaking from his farm in rural Wales, commented that 'the people have not spoken with a loud voice' and supported Anthony Union's proposed legislation which 'was vital for the future of the country. Just imagine if we had campaigned in Feltham and Heston - perhaps no one would have voted at all!'
However the City is not happy with the situation. 'The Government gives us an excuse for anything we do and always helps us out when we are in trouble' said City financier Toby Price 'if there is No Government we will be in trouble with no one to bail us out.'
