A ghost, purportedly that of recently deceased songstress Amy Winehouse, was spooked into vanishing back into the afterlife after apparently catching a glimpse of former Libertine's front man, Pete Doherty, according to celebrity TV medium Derek Acorah.
The apparition, which reportedly materialised in a Camden townhouse close to the one in which she passed away, is said to have appeared as a reflection on a window only to be perturbed at the sight of an 'other-worldly' Doherty.
Acorah said he made immediate contact with Winehouse after reports surfaced of her scare.
He told reporters, 'I'm not sure whether she was pissed or what, as it seems that she made her presence felt at Doherty's town house rather than her own.'
'She tells me she was merely going to look into the property to reminisce at what used to be and was scared stiff when a pale and clammy Doherty appeared in the room she was mistakenly looking into.'
'Amy said if she was already dead, she might have died on the spot, so its just as well really.'
'That would be all Pete would need given his past misdemeanours.'
Doherty himself has apologised not only for the incident but for his own continued existence in light of the death of his close friend.
'If I could change things around, and be the ghost scared stiff of the sight of Amy I would.'
'Mind you, you wouldn't have needed to be from the after life to have been scared at the sight of her.'
