image for Hull City Bottom Of The League
More a whimper than a roar

Hull City, who at the start of the season had high hopes of being promoted to the Premier League, are now in real danger of being relegated to League One after a terrible start to their campaign ended in a 1-0 home defeat to Blackpool.

The Tigers huffed and puffed, but couldn't blow Blackpool's house down, and were unltimately undone by a smart finish from the Seasiders' striker Gary Taylor-Fletcher (a bit of a poncey name, if you ask me).

Matty Fryatt wasted two fine chances for the hosts when clean through, while Tom Cairney hit the bar.

City fan Wendy Sokomo told me:

"Here we go again! A new season, but same old shit!"
