image for Wimbledon Finals To Be Shown On 3D

Andy Murray's failure to win this year's Wimbledon final will be shown live in 3D.

The men's and women's finals will for the first time ever be available to consumers with BBC 3D and HD channels .

Murray said :

"Its very exciting to think that my latest let down may well be witnessed by a potential viewing public of over 5 million in such a high quality medium".

Tennis fans will see every failed drop shot, every tantrum, every near miss as if they were actually there.

Murray continued "It would be a great honour if I was to make the final and my undoubted defeat would contribute to such a landmark event.

I will do everything I can to ensure that happens".
