The Scottish Football Association has created a new refereeing post in an attempt to address the increasing pressures being placed on officials north of the border.
A refereeing recruitment and education manager will take up the post on July 1st and interviews have already started.
John Fleming, head of SFA Referees Development, created the post and told a press conference the idea behind the innovation :
"We have been looking for a referee who doesn't support either of the Old Firm clubs for obvious reasons, so that narrowed the field considerably.
The successful applicant will also not stay in the UK as he should not be exposed to any form of intimidation at home".
Fleming also advised that aliens will also be encouraged to apply as the postholder will have to train every Scottish referee on how to have eyes in the back of their head.
