image for Park wasn't the normal Terrier for Man United in the Euro final
Not the normal terrier in Park

The Champions league final has been and gone for another year, but if certain factors had happened, it could have been a very different result.

On Saturday Barcelona showed their true colours by outclassing a sorry looking Manchester United.

One such player that normally rises to the occasion in big games is midfield terrier South Korean Park Ji-Sung.

Park was touted to put in a stirling performance during the Euro final, but was sadly off the pace and looked troubled throughout.

Reasons and rumours have been doing the rounds on why this could have happened to this normal powerhouse of a player.

One interesting account has come forward from the Manchester United's personal chef, Reginald Jackson who said "We had a slight problem with getting some of the player's favoured pre-match meals, one of which was Park who normally has is favoured pre-game cuisine..West Highland Terrier and two veg!"

Jackson said "Our order didn't come through on time so we were forced to make an emergency dash across London to Battersea dogs home to get some 'as the French would say... Chien'"

Jackson confirmed "Battersea didn't have much on offer as the Chinese National team had been in town the week before, so we bought a 14 year old stray Labrador and a 10 year old Border Collie as backup!"

It seems that the change in pre-match fuel gave Park a stomach ache and bad wind, Park came into the changing rooms at half time asking for some elka seltzer and a 'Jack Russell and chips!'.

Park had complained that "Ever since eating that Labrador pie, I have been stepping on ducks all over the pitch!"

Chef Jackson analysed "it was probably the change in size of K9 that probably gave Park the grief's in the briefs, he is normally accustomed to pedigree toy dogs!"

Alex Ferguson (who keeps is Yorkshire terrier on a tight rein around old Trafford) was very unhappy about the situation, but would not comment.

In fact it has come to light that a lot of the Red devils players don't even take their pets to the ground since Park joined the club.

Roy Keane an avid dog lover was rumoured to have left united earlier than expected when one of his 5 long coat Chihuahuas went missing.
