FIFA has had its reputation damaged recently by charges of corruption and vicious rumours. It has been alleged that Qatar managed to buy the rights to host the 2022 World Cup, but that is just allegedly!
Boss of FIFA Sepp Blatter this weekend began a search for honest football associations who would be willing to host the World Cup if it was decided to replace Qatar, but none would put themselves in that awkward position.
As an alternative, Mr Blatter has decided that the 2022 World Cup could be hosted on the Moon. He admitted that there could be problems with the lack of stadia, lack of infrastructure, lack of fans, poor atmosphere and intolerable weather conditions. He also pointed out that all these problems exist in Qatar and FIFA had agreed to host a World Cup there.
However, it is unlikely that the World Cup will be hosted on the Moon because the Moon does not have a Footballing Association. Only 12 people have ever walked on the Moon, just enough for one team, but FIFA rules dictate that each FA much contain at least two teams.
