image for Manchester United stars to be new Ant and Dec
Gary and Phil Neville

Ex Manchester United aces Gary and Phil Neville are to be the new Ant and Dec.

The popular and charismatic footballers are being groomed to host 'I Am a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here'

A media PR spokesperson told reporters:

"It is a winning formula. The audience is forever guessing which one has the brains and which one has the looks"

TV bosses are hoping that the presence of Gary and Phil will attract other high profile Manchester United entertainers, such as Paul Scholes.

It is no secret that Wayne Rooney has been signed up for one of the jungle trials and and will publicly have congress with a nanny goat.

The Nevilles' father Neville Neville has told reporters:

"They share the same sense of humour"

Sir Alex Ferguson is also full of praise for the duo:

"I have known the Nevilles since they were wee. They are very modest lads with much to be modest about"

But scores of Liverpool fans claim they had no say in this decision and are arguing on Twitter:

"#scousethief Ringo Scally
The Nevilles are window licking mingers.Fuck them"

Another fan has tweeted that ex Mersey face Peter Beardsley is better looking than the Nevilles.

The Liverpool fanzine You'll Never Walk Again has claimed that the story is "bollocks" and that Mersey wits Stevie G and Jamie Carragher will be the new Ant and Dec.
