image for Gordon Strachan Helps Neil Lennon Out

Despite being in between clubs at the moment, Gordon Strachan has launched a new body - the Tenacious Ginger Managers Association.

Strachan has formed the TGMA as he feels that the League Managers Association does not provide enough protection or support for coaches like himself and Neil Lennon.

"The LMA, while doing a good enough job for managers in the mainstream,, simply didn't have the know how or resources to provide a support network for the likes of myself and Lenny.

The stereotypical English manager - boring, predictable and consistent - is the type of character the LMA catered for. Anyone with a bit of spikyness about them, coupled with a massive chip on their shoulder, height issues and reddish hair, always fall well below their radar".

Although himself and Lennon are the only 2 members at present, Strachan expects others to join them shortly. Some, of course, will have to take the first big step, admit that they naturally fall in this category and stop dyeing their hair brown.
