image for Ex Liverpool footballer slams "anorexic fairies"

Ex Liverpool ace Jan Molby has called the current crop of players "anorexic fairies".

The Danish Scouser claims they have no appetite for the game and wouldn't have survived in his day.

"Only the Argie Carlos Tevez could have competed at our level"

The legendary Anfield trougher spoke out at the PFA buffet.

"Modern players like Crouch and Wright Phillips spend too much time in salad bars Old fashioned defenders like Neil 'Razor' Ruddock would have eaten them for breakfast."

He blames the influx of skinny foreign managers such as Arsene Wenger for the introduction of emaciation into the English game.

"They ponce on about the spine of a team but completely neglect the belly"

The Great Dane's nutritionist added weight to his argument:

"Unless we get the hunger back in the English game there is a fat chance of us winning anything"
