image for Football Banned From Top Satirical News Website
A picture representing the sport of Association Football

The world of football was in uproar this morning, after it was announced by the administrators of top satirical news website TheSpook.com, that material on the subject of the world's favourite game were to be banned until August.

Football, although being the most popular thing on Earth, has recently become a rather boring subject for many who would rather avail themselves of 'more interesting' writings concerning celebrities of the day, such as Pippa Middleton, the sister of Kate, Royal Bride of Prince William, Rob Pattinson, whoever he is, Nina Dobrev, if I've got that right, or Susan Boyle.

Spoof owner Mal Krowton told us:

"Yeah, football has become a bit boring for some. Yes, it earns big hits for my site, but there is a limit to how many football-related items people can digest, whereas celebrities have an unlimited appeal to an unlimited number of readers."

Football stories will be back in August, if not sooner.
