image for New Events for Commonwealth Games

The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014 will witness a number of new events .

One of the most controversial is set to be Shoe Hurling as its felt that India will be the greatest beneficiary, given that this pastime is regularly practiced as a popular form of insult.

In order to avoid any charges of favouritism, the Commonwealth Games organising committee is introducing other new events.

To give African nations a chance of winning more medals, Holding Disputed Elections will be debuted in Glasgow, while the equally new event of Ganja Distribution is widely recognised to favour participants from the Caribbean countries.

Canada is expected to excel at Mountie Parading while Wombat Rearing is likely to be dominated by one particular competing nation from the Southern Hemisphere.

Tutting While Queuing appears to give the UK the best opportunity to increase its own medal haul.
