Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley fears he has become the victim of a an injury curse that affects any player called Ledley.
The 24 year old Welshman injured a hamstring in the Old Firm clash at the weekend and will be out of action for the rest of the season.
He joins on the sidelines the more famous fellow player Ledley King, the Tottenham Hotspur centre half whose career has been plagued with chronic knee problems that have meant that he turns out for matches without having trained all week. His appearances this season have been minimal.
Celtic's Ledley is so concerned that he will be blighted by the same injury jinx as the Spurs man that he may take drastic action in the event of his injury woes continuing.
"Should my hamstring problem not go away completely over the close season", the Welshman announced, "I will change my name by deed poll to Joe Lesley. I am not superstitious by any manner of means, but I don't want to take any chances".
