HAMMERSMITH, LONDON - After Al-Fayed erected a statue of the famed pop star in the Fulham grounds, critics were quick to point out the flaws in it.
The most unlikely of groups, Fulham fans, and Jacko fans, have joined forces on a campaign to remove the statue.
"The statue is rubbish..." said the president of Michael Jackson Fans UK, "The clothes are early 80s, the hair late 90s, and the skin tone is mid-80s. It's the 2010s. At least have some consitency."
"I agree with my brethen," said the president of Fulham Fans, "not only does it look like whatever, it also makes us a laughing stock. Who the hell puts a statue of someone who didn't even make a difference? If it was Einstien, or Hawking or even someone from Wolverhampton, we'd understand... but this? THIS?!"
Already the cause has garnered 200,000 Facebook 'likes', with hundreds more on blogs and Twitter.
Al-Fayed better watch his ass.
