Old Firm fans can now reserve tickets for the next 5 seasons' Champions League and Europa League campaigns, even though only one of the clubs will qualify for the main tournament.
Because Scotland's co-efficient ranking in European football has fallen to 15th (below Belgium's), only the Scottish Premier League winners will be eligible for the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League. The runners up will go straight into the Europa Cup.
But, because no other club stands a chance of splitting the Glasgow clubs at the top of the tree, Rangers and Celtic have joined forces in a desperate effort to boost their coffers and are putting on sale tickets for both European tournaments up until 2015/16.
The Big Two are issuing joint Champions League/Europa League tickets at a bargain cost of £5000 each and they will be valid for the next 5 years, whatever campaign each club has qualified for.
Asked how angry fans would be if either of the clubs finished outwith the European places, an Old Firm spokesman replied "We don't deal in fantasy".
