Further back room let-downs have struck Manchester United this weekend. As reported last week here, after an administrative error caused defeat at Chelsea, the gremlins struck again for the beleaguered club as they played the superior Liverpool squad at Anfield.
As we predicted Manchester United were due to beat Liverpool 3-1 after paying off the referee earlier in the week, however due to another secretarial clanger, the home and away columns were filled in back to front.
This resulted in the score line coming out at 3-1 to Liverpool.
Alex Ferguson is said to be livid after this result, and is insisting on the public execution of whoever filled in the form before sending it to the FA.
A Manchester witch hunt has begun. A spokesman from the FA had this to say "the result came out exactly as Sir Alex had asked for it. We can only deal with what we are sent. A huge wad of cash and a preferred result form, it's not our fault if the form is filled in incorrectly!"
On another note, Ferguson is also campaigning for the sun to moved during game time. He felt Van Der Sar would have saved more goals if the sun was moved slightly left or right during the ninety minute game.
And Nani is still refusing to leave his locker, as reported here, because Sir Alex is said to doubly mad now after the loss.
All boots have been removed from the locker rooms, both home and away.
Updates to follow.
