March 2nd 2011 marks the 20th anniversary of Ryan Giggs' debut for Manchester United - as a sub in a game against Everton, which United lost 2-0.
There's no doubt about it - 'Giggsy' Giggs, as his friends call him, has indeed enjoyed a remarkable career, accruing 11 Premier League winners medals, 4 FA cup medals, 2 Champions League Medals and a World Club Champions medal - among others - and he's made no secret of the fact that he's hungry for more.
But is he really the consummate professional, or is he just - as described by fanatical Liverpool fan Mickey McWhack - "a greedy get"?
Adherents of the United left winger point out that Giggs works extra hard to keep fit, and that despite his fabulous wealth, he has eschewed the high life in favour of being a quiet unassuming family man with a very long football career.
Detractors however, none more vociferous than Mickey McWhack, insist that Giggs is nothing more than "a greedy get."
"Well, he is, isn't he?" McWhack told Skoob Sports News. "He doesn't need any more medals. He's just a greedy get. He's no better than the rest of 'em at Man Ure - always gorra be winnin' stuff. Dee make me wanna bleedin' pukkkkke dey do. Winnin' mentality me arse! You ask me, Giggs is just an avaricious no-mark - takes after the manager, the Scotch getttt. I really hope Chelsea turn 'em over tonight. And I'm no lover of bleedin' Chelski either, burranythinks better than them bastard Mancs winning the title again...the tight gets! They should let somebody else have a go, for a change. Oh, and by the way, like, - did I mention that we won it five times?"
More as we get it.
