A player on the world championship Green Bay Packers football team says that he doesn't expect his team to win two Super Bowls in a row.
"The odds are high against it", stated the player who asked not to be identified for obvious reasons.
"It's been a long time since anyone did that. Actually just a few times in the 45 or is it 46 Super Bowls? Green Bay won the first two but that was back when the same players stayed on the same team, sometimes all their careers. You don't get a Paul Hornung, Jim Taylor and Bart Starr plus those receivers and that defense together for long these days."
Plus, the player told us that the fact that their star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, had suffered two concussions in only one season and could have another one at any time.
"Aaron is a fighter but a third concussion and he will have to do some deep thinking as to how this will affect the rest of his life, in and out of football."
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers disagreed with the unnamed teammate, however.
"Oh, I know it makes sense. But why not expect to win every title you can? I have been looking at some new protective helmets and I wish I had worn those all along.
Rodgers pointed out that the Packers had 14 men out during their Super Bowl run and that they would be back this year.
"We have new draft choices. The Packers have won two in a roll before as several other teams. I always expect us to win every time we get out there. You just have to forget last season and get ready for a fresh start."
So things may be alright for the Packers in 2011-2012. However we did notice that Rodgers had his shoes on the wrong feet and his pants on backwards.
