image for Old Firm Combine On TV Channel

Despite the threat of being expelled from the Scottish Premier League, Celtic and Rangers are pushing ahead with plans to set up their own TV channel.

SPL chief Neil Doncaster has previously cast doubts on the Big Two's continued participation in the current set up should they negotiate their own TV deals, but the Old Firm seem intent on pushing the bureaucratic envelope.

Although plans have yet to be finalised, a spokesman for the new channel (provisionally titled OFCOM) said "Everyone connected with the thing is buzzing. We firmly believe that this is a great opportunity to establish a template for the ultimate, self serving TV project.

We are confident we'll have something for everyone when we go live".

There is certainly loads of variety in prospect for viewers of all interests:

Homes - "House of Commons"

Dieting - "Weir's Weigh"

Porn - "Samaras' Sword"

Comedy - "Edu, Where's My Car ?"

Kids Food - - "Hooper on Hoops"

Health - "Bougherra's Boogers"

Gossip - "Maloney's Baloney"

Family Planning - "McCoistus Interruptus"

Memorabilia - "Hinkel's Heinkels"

Classic Albums - "Goodbye Jelavic Road"

Riveting stuff indeed.

Make grimbo's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
