Footballers all over the world have been rocked by the news that FIFA have banned buffon hairstyles for all international fixtures.
Gerd Giddeen, FIFA Director of Fashion and Grooming, confirmed the ban today at a news conference in Zurich.
Giddeen announced that "After much discussion and consultation, the governing body has outlawed buffons and any other what may be perceived as 'girlie' hairstyles being worn by any player or staff member in any future internationals. The Organising Committee is extremely concerned at the apparent girlification of what is traditionally a man's game and we have every intention of doing whatever it takes to return Football to its rightful status as A Man's Game".
Other measures being considered by FIFA in this regard is the outlawing of headbands, earrings and any national colours containing even the slightest trace of pink.
