Italian international Mario Balotelli has sensationally blasted his Manchester City team mates. The self proclaimed "bad boy" claims that too many of his City team mates are at Eastlands for the wrong reasons, and he's definitely not one of them.
In an interview that's only going to add to the continued unrest at Manchester's blue side, Balotelli has opened up on his short yet controversial period at City. In an exclusive interview with the respected journalist bigbossmiami, the Italian striker confirmed what many sceptical football fans already knew.
"Too many players at City are there solely for the money and there's not enough guys who are there for the love of the club and the fans, like me. When I was growing up all I dreamed about was playing for Manchester City and it was the same for a few of the other guys like Emmanuel (Adebayor), Yaya Toure and Viera. And that shows when we go out on the pitch and put our bodies on the line for the fans. Professionals like us are hard to come by nowadays with only Charles Nzogbia at Wigan another I can think of."
He then remarkably went on to name and shame players he felt were solely at City for their riches.
"Joe Hart, James Milner and Kolo Toure are only there for the money. They're the most blatant offenders but theres plenty more of them. It makes me sick."
He also criticised players such as Nedum Onuoha and Craig Bellamy for going out on loan to develop their careers as traitors who "have no interest in been squad members".
During the interview Balotelli comes across as a sweet, somewhat shy young man who not only shuns the celebrity lifestyle but who you feel genuinely misses his family and pet dog back in Italy.
I noted I found it surprising he's always been a City fan having grown up in Italy. However Balotelli insisted and even showed me a picture of himself in Man City gear as a baby (above).
He is dressed subtly in an all white Armani suit, red Gucci boots and matching red Louis Vuitton sunglasses despite the fact it has been raining for 3 days. He said he only wears the sunglasses so no one will notice who he is.
He sights going to opera and helping out at the local homeless centre as activities he pursues in his spare time. He is also a huge fan of classical music and states his dislike for rap music as "too aggressive and materialistic".
Balotelli has been no stranger to controversy since arriving at Eastlands in the summer as a £23 million aquisition from Inter Milan. I questioned him on the incident where he reportedly crashed his car in the Manchester region and was found with £5000 cash in his back pocket.
"Yes that was an stressful incident" he claims. "I was just driving my Toyota Prius into training when someone crashed right into me. Regarding the money, I was actually returning some of my wages to the club as I didn't feel I deserved it because of my suspension".
He also discussed the apparent sighting of him dining with AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani. "Yes I met Adriano because I wanted to tell him about how happy I am at City and give him advise on how to properly run a club. The fact that AC Milan signed Robihno says alot about how that club is been run."
