Blackpool boss Ian Holloway was said to be having a lie down yesterday after an incredible rant at the international football authorities.
Holloway was apoplectic during a televised press conference when he commented on the Rooney/Manchester United situation.
He blamed people who he claimed knew nothing about football for imposing the Bosman Ruling on the game. He argued that players like Rooney were now able to hold great clubs like Manchester United to ransome.
"If Alex Ferguson is being bullied by a player and his agent, how wrong is the game," Holloway ranted.
Our football correspondent Dave Pencil said: "It was really quite an outburst and Holloway became incoherent as only football people can.
"I thought I'd pop round his house to see him afterwards to clear one or two things up.
"But when I got to his front door I was told that he'd gone for a lie down and that he might come out later."
