The woman known simply as B. won the Boston Marathon last week. She was diagnosed with a rare thyroid disorder that caused her to become morbidly obese at a very young age. Despite these challenges B. has managed to become the first obese person to win a marathon in history, inspiring millions to follow in her footsteps.

B. was interviewed at the end of the race and stated " Thank goodness the course was down hill, I just closed my eyes and rolled. "

B. was greeted at the finish line by family and friends who congratulated her on her amazing accomplishments. Dr. Lerner from the national institute of nutrition was dumbfounded when he found out about this. " It is impossible for a woman of her stature to participate in a race such as this" he said. "Recent medical studies have shown that Obese people are unable to participate in marathons."

Despite the convincing medical evidence, B. managed to defy the odds and will go down in the record books. B.'s story is an inspiring one giving hope to the other 60% of Americans that are now considered obese.
