Andi Panday has made national headlines by appearing drunk during an interview at the Ryder Cup, turning the dullest, most boring golf tournament on the planet into the second most dull and boring golf tournament on the planet.
Ms Panday of Garforth Green in Essex started drinking when the rain started coming down on the last day of the contest, and continued to drink all the way through the Sunday and into Monday. By the time the contest finished, she had consumed so much alcohol that people she walked past were immediately over the limit for driving.
With the golf itself about as interesting as forty men stood in a field looking wet, television producers looked to the crowd for entertainment, and immediately found Andi.
Faster than a Tiger Woods chat-up line, she was surrounded by cameras from the BBC, Sky, Fox News and Cheltenham TV.
"I really enjoyed the interview," said BBC Sports Reporter Nick Carrs.
As part of the interview, the journalists managed to arrange for Panday to have a go at teeing off at the eighteenth hole, the furthest they could get her from the nineteenth hole. This made for Road Traffic Accident TV as she swung at the ball numerous times missing, falling over and hacking lumps out of the grass.
Eventually, she did manage to hit the ball, at which point an alert police officer arrested her for drunk driving.
